Dr. Khoo Fun Yong, recognized as the ‘Father’ of Radiology in Singapore, was the first local radiologist to lead the Department of Radiology at Singapore General Hospital, which included diagnostic, therapeutic radiology, and nuclear medicine. Over his distinguished career, he trained many radiologists, many of whom hold leadership positions today. To honor his achievements and impact on radiology in Singapore, the F Y Khoo Lecture was established in 2004 by the College of Radiologists, Singapore, in collaboration with the Singapore Radiological Society.
The lecture will be held and delivered during AMS SGCR-WIRES 2025 conference between 29-31 August 2025. The topic of the lecture should be professional, academic or scientific content related to Radiology. The lecturer should preferably be a prominent local member of the radiological community, although an overseas lecturer can be appointed once every 3 years. The overseas lecturer, if selected, should be from the faculty of the ASM for that year.

This Medal aims to recognise the lifetime contributions made by distinguished members of the Singapore radiological community.
The Medals are to be awarded during the Annual Scientific Meetings (ASM) of the Singapore Radiological Society (SRS) and the College of Radiologists Singapore (CRS).
The recipient(s) must be current or honorary members of SRS or CRS, or were active members during their time in practice. Additionally, the recipient(s) must have made significant contributions to Diagnostic Radiology, Radiation Oncology and/or Nuclear Medicine in Singapore in areas such as (but not limited to) service to CRS or SRS, public service, education, research, leadership or mentorship.

MSK MRI Interpretation Workshop (Basic)

Date: 28 August 2025
Time: 8am - 3pm
Venue: Singapore EXPO
MSK MRI Interpretation Workshop (Advanced)

Date: 27 August 2025
Time: 12pm - 6pm
Venue: Singapore EXPO

The Singapore Congress of Radiology’s interactive MSK MRI workshops have long offered personalized, small-group teaching with expert radiologists. This year, the workshop expands to two days, focusing on MSK radiology, covering both basic sessions for beginners and advanced sessions on tumour and post-operative implant imaging. Participants will access PACS workstations and full DICOM datasets to review cases at their own pace, testing their interpretation skills. Each case is followed by a detailed discussion led by experts, simulating the experience of learning from a senior radiologist during a daily reporting session.

Ultrasound in Motion: A Hands-on MSK Workshop (Basics)

Date: 27 August 2025
Time: 12pm - 6.30pm
Venue: Singapore EXPO
Advanced Ultrasound Workshop - Brachial Plexus, Sports Injuries, and Pain Management Techniques

Date: 28 August 2025
Time: 9am - 4pm
Venue: Singapore EXPO
Our Musculoskeletal Ultrasound Workshop offers two tracks—Basic and Advanced—catering to all experience levels. This non-invasive technique is essential for diagnosing soft tissue injuries, joint pathologies, tendon issues, and more, especially in sports medicine, orthopaedics, and physiotherapy. Participants will learn ultrasound physics, imaging techniques for conditions like tendinitis, ligament tears, and joint effusions, covering regions like the elbow, wrist, and ankle. Through both theoretical and hands-on training, our expert instructors aim to enhance your ability to incorporate musculoskeletal ultrasound into clinical practice, improving diagnosis and patient outcomes, whether you're a beginner or a seasoned professional.
